Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Revelation 7 (ESV)
9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
INTRODUCTION:
I. God’s Heart Beats for the Nations
Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Revelation 7:9 (ESV)9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.
A. The Truth Is – Missions is not an option – it’s the heartbeat of God. From Genesis to Revelation, we see God’s desire to reach every tribe, tongue, and nation.
1. Are you aligned with God’s heart? If missions matter to God, it must matter to us.
2. Your “faith promise” is a direct investment in fulfilling God’s global purpose.
II. Faith Unlocks God’s Provision
Philippians 4:19 (ESV)
"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (ESV)
"The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."
A. God supplies all our needs when we step out in faith. His provision flows when we trust Him and give, as Pastor Brian said a couple of weeks ago, “generously”.
B. The more seeds a farmer sows, the greater the harvest. Our giving is like planting seeds for the Kingdom.
C. What is God asking you to trust Him for? Faith isn’t about comfort; it’s about courage.
III. Your Obedience Has Eternal Impact
Romans 10:13-15 (ESV)
13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
A. Every dollar given translates to souls saved. Missionaries can only go if they are sent.
B. You may never meet the people your giving impacts on earth, but you will meet them in heaven.
C. What legacy are you leaving for eternity? Never forget: obedience in giving leaves a lasting impact.
Closing Challenge
Pray and ask God for the faith to make a faith promise that stretches you.
Trust God to provide above and beyond your expectations.
