Ephesians 3 ESV

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, (17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith) that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,

Ephesians 1:3-8 NLT

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

7 He is so RICH in KINDNESS and GRACE that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. 8 He has showered his kindness on us,

Ephesians 5 ESV

25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,

26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.

Philippians 3:8-10 ESV

8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— 10 THAT I MAY KNOW HIM and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

1. WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT JESUS?

HE IS THE SON OF GOD

HE WAS BEFORE ALL

HE IS THE WORD OF GOD

HE CREATED ALL THINGS

HE IS SUPREME OVER ALL

HE CAME AS GODS LAMB

HE WAS HIGHLY EXALTED HIM ABOVE “FAR ABOVE” ALL

HE IS THE EXACT IMAGE OF THE FATHER

HE IS THE HEAD OF THE BODY/ THE CHURCH

HE WILL RETURN TO CLAIM HIS BRIDE

HE WILL RETURN AS KING OF ALL KINGS AND LORD OF ALL LORDS.

HE WILL DESTROY ALL OF HIS ENEMIES

HE WILL RULE FOREVER

HE IS SUPREME OVER ALL THINGS

2. He owns everything and I get everything because I belong to Him!

We are “in Christ.”

We’ve been chosen “through Christ.”

We are espoused to Christ.

Joined with Jesus

We are considered heirs with Christ Jesus.

3. There is an enormous dichotomy of truth in Christ our Lord.

He is both Lord of my life and lover of my soul.

A. He is Lord of my life!

We can’t have His authority unless we give up our authority.

B. He is Lover of my soul.

Jesus was not only worthy, but He was also willing……….

If we knew THE LOVE of Christ,

WE Could accept THE RULE of Christ.
